If the government, or an organization, owes you money and you do not collect it, then it's unclaimed. This also applies to banks, credit unions, pensions, and other sources. Funds held by public and private organizations that cannot be returned to the rightful owner are required to be reported by the organization and delivered to state and federal governments for safe keeping. This occurs frequently because the organization or government agency does not have the most recent valid contact information for the individual or organizational representative to contact them about the funds. The rightful owner, their heirs (children, spouses, etc.) or a corporate representative (corporate directors, etc.) can claim the funds on behalf of the organization by submitting a claim.
Third Party Recovery, Inc., acts as the Claimant's Representative to recovers funds for the individual or organization as its agent for a recovery fee. We are versed in the documentation requirements to prove the claimant's right to the funds and facilitate any proceedings required to substantiate the claim.
There are many scammers that try to defraud individuals into thinking that they can recover unclaimed funds which do not exist. As a note, an individual or organization should never pay and organization up front before they receive funds. TPR enters into contingent fee agreements with claimants and gets paid only from money it recovers.
Contact us if you want more information on recovering your claim, or for any questions you have.
